Privacy policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what information Akhar ("the site", "we") handles when you use it. The short version: you do not need an account, your typing progress stays on your own device, and if ads are shown, Google may use cookies to serve them.
Information stored on your device
Your lesson progress, test history, weak-key statistics and settings (such as theme and text size) are saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can erase it at any time with "Reset all progress" on the Progress page or by clearing your browser's site data.
The mock test pages ask for a candidate name so it can appear on your result sheet. The name is saved only in your browser, together with your test results, and is never sent to us.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for your email address, phone number or any other contact details, and we do not record the text you type.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your approximate location (city level), and your device and browser type. It does not tell us who you are. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may log technical information such as your IP address when your browser requests a page. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Fonts
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google's servers to download them. See Google Fonts privacy.
Advertising and cookies
We may use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Children
The site is meant for exam candidates and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
